<i>Stephanosporamayana</i> is presented as a new species from the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. This species is distinguished by the yellowish pileus, basidiospores with a small corona (4-6 × 1-2.5 µm), and variable size (8.0-17.0 × 6.0-11.0), thin pileus (21-40 µm) and the ecological association to lowland forest with <i>Haematoxylumcampechianum</i>, <i>Gymnopodiumfloribundum</i>, <i>Coccolobadiversifolia</i>, <i>Metopiumbrownei</i> and <i>Pinuscaribaea</i>.
