We have recently reported the proteomic signature of the early (≤30 min) drought stress responses in Arabidopsis thaliana suspension cells challenged with PEG. We found an over-representation in the gene ontology categories "Ribosome" and "Oxidative stress along with an increased abundance of late embryogenesis abundant (LEA) and early response to dehydration (ERD) proteins.
