The entomopathogenic nematodes <i>Heterorhabditis</i> are parasites of insects and are associated with mutualist symbiosis enterobacteria of the genus <i>Photorhabdus</i>; these bacteria are lethal to their host insects. <i>Heterorhabditis indica</i> MOR03 was isolated from sugarcane soil in Morelos state, Mexico.
