<h4>Background</h4>Septo-optic dysplasia (SOD), also known as de-Morsier syndrome, is a rare disorder characterized by any combination of optic nerve hypoplasia, pituitary gland hypoplasia, and midline abnormalities of the brain including absence of the septum pellucidum and corpus callosum dysgenesis.
