Cellulose fibrous aerogels have been fabricated by a facile and aqueous process that disintegrated electrospun cellulose fibers (ECFs) and reassembled via freezing/freeze-drying with significantly improved dry resiliency and spontaneous 89% shape recovery from ca. 70% compressive strain.
