The dataset for validation of customer inspiration construct in Malaysian context.

ABSTRACT: This study intended to validate customer inspiration (CI)in Malaysian/developing country context. Data were collected from two different respondents for two studies - from Millennial customers of the auto industry and Generation Z customers of the smartphone industry. The survey conducted through a standardized and structured questionnaire. The variables of the both studies were customer-defined market orientation (MO) (customer orientation, competitor orientation, and interfunctional coordination), CI (inspired-by and inspired-to), and customer loyalty (CL). This research strategy, in terms of quantity, is descriptive and correlational. Statistical analysis of the data was carried out, using ADANCO 2.0. The finding of the study suggests all results of data 1 and data 2 were significant, and CI mediates the sub-constructs of MO with CL.

Project description:The central aim of the study was to show a dataset that empirically examines the connection between customer experience (CE) and customer satisfaction (CS). Few or no research have investigated how customer experience can be used to improve customer satisfaction in the healthcare sector of Nigeria. The study therefore adopted a survey research and the data were generated via a structured questionnaire. A total of 365 copies of the questionnaire were retrieved from the customers of the selected four private hospitals in Lagos State. The questionnaire administered were analysed using SPSS (version 22). Using the descriptive and the Categorical Regression CATREG analysis, the data explained how customer experience have a significant relationship with customer satisfaction. The data gathered is provided openly so as to facilitate further analysis.

The dataset for the stages of concerns of public-school teachers towards the use of e-learning platform: Malaysian context.

Project description:This dataset contains demographic information of 355 respondents and a validated 32-items Stages of Concerns Questionnaire (SoCQ). The SoCQ questionnaire was developed based on the Concerns-Based Adoption Model (CBAM) which measures seven stages of concerns as the variables. They are unconcerned, informational, personal, management, consequence, collaboration and refocusing. The data was firstly tested with normality, followed by validity checking using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). It is useful for policy makers and stakeholders to have a thorough understanding about teachers' concerns on the use of the e-learning platform and thus, design suitable interventions to smoothen the adoption process of using the technology. This set of data could be used in a multi-racial developing country for more complex analyses.

Drive: Theory and Construct Validation.

Project description:This article explicates the theory of drive and describes the development and validation of two measures. A representative set of drive facets was derived from an extensive corpus of human attributes (Study 1). Operationalised using an International Personality Item Pool version (the Drive:IPIP), a three-factor model was extracted from the facets in two samples and confirmed on a third sample (Study 2). The multi-item IPIP measure showed congruence with a short form, based on single-item ratings of the facets, and both demonstrated cross-informant reliability. Evidence also supported the measures' convergent, discriminant, concurrent, and incremental validity (Study 3). Based on very promising findings, the authors hope to initiate a stream of research in what is argued to be a rather neglected niche of individual differences and non-cognitive assessment.

Context-based sentiment analysis on customer reviews using machine learning linear models.

Project description:Customer satisfaction and their positive sentiments are some of the various goals for successful companies. However, analyzing customer reviews to predict accurate sentiments have been proven to be challenging and time-consuming due to high volumes of collected data from various sources. Several researchers approach this with algorithms, methods, and models. These include machine learning and deep learning (DL) methods, unigram and skip-gram based algorithms, as well as the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and bag-of-word (BOW) regression model. Studies and research have revealed incoherence in polarity, model overfitting and performance issues, as well as high cost in data processing. This experiment was conducted to solve these revealing issues, by building a high performance yet cost-effective model for predicting accurate sentiments from large datasets containing customer reviews. This model uses the fastText library from Facebook's AI research (FAIR) Lab, as well as the traditional Linear Support Vector Machine (LSVM) to classify text and word embedding. Comparisons of this model were also done with the author's a custom multi-layer Sentiment Analysis (SA) Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (SA-BLSTM) model. The proposed fastText model, based on results, obtains a higher accuracy of 90.71% as well as 20% in performance compared to LSVM and SA-BLSTM models.

Project description:This dataset contains information of 375 respondents on green consumption behaviour. The questionnaire was developed using Theory of Planned Behaviour as the foundation. The variables available in the dataset are Environmental Concern (EC), Social Influence (SI), Perceived behavioural control (PBC), Consumer novelty seeking (CNS) and Green consumption behaviour (GC). In addition to the variables related to green consumption, the dataset also includes demographic and media preference information of the respondents. The data was collected via self-administered questionnaire in seven major cities in Klang Valley, namely Shah Alam, Bangsar, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Puchong, Serdang and Putrajaya. The dataset can have an important role for research in consumer behaviour towards developing green consumers.

Survey dataset of Malaysian perception on rising cost of living.

Project description:The introduction of good and services tax (GST) that has replaced the sales and services tax (SST) had contributed to the rising cost of living in Malaysia. The focus of this research was to present a data article on the response and perception of Malaysian households about the increasing cost of living. A descriptive research design was adopted in this study. Data were obtained from randomly selected 751 respondents of households across Malaysia. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using tables and percentages. The findings show the negative perceptions of Malaysian households on the increase in the cost of living. There are various causes of the rising cost of living and can be inferred based on the perspective of income changes, price changes and patterns household consumption expenditure.

Project description:This article describes survey result on humanic clues and customer loyalty in selected hospitals in Lagos State, Nigeria. This paper obtains information from the customer experience management strategy in considering the techniques in which customer loyalty can be built. 365 copies of questionnaires were retrieved from the customers of the selected four private hospitals in Lagos State. The data gathered from the survey customers were subjected to inferential and descriptive statistics in order to ascertain the sum, mean, standard deviation and the relative importance index (RII). The retrieved copies of questionnaires were analysed utilising SPSS (22). Using the Categorical Regression CATREG analysis, the data article establish that humanic clues have positive influence on customer loyalty. The data collected is openly presented to enhance further analysis.

The dataset for validation of factors affecting pre-service teachers' use of ICT during teaching practices: Indonesian context.

Project description:This dataset describes two main variables, technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) and Beliefs on ICT, which may affect pre-service teachers' (PSTs) use of ICT (UICT) during teaching practices. TPACK assumes that PSTs should actively combine some domains of knowledge to design good quality of ICT-integrated courses lessons. Beliefs on ICT in this study consist of a mix of behavioral, normative, and control beliefs on ICT integration in education. In addition, UICT is defined as ICT used by PSTs during teaching practices. Three approaches were applied for the purification of the dataset; development of instruments, survey, and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The dataset consists of demographic information, TPACK, Beliefs on ICT, and UICT. The dataset is beneficial to teacher educators in designing effective programs that best nurture PSTs' UICT during teaching practices. Researchers sharing similar sample characteristics in developing countries may adapt this dataset for more rigorous statistical analyses.
