The treatment efficacy of a nicotine vaccine largely relies on its ability to induce high titers of nicotine-specific antibodies. Due to its strong immune-potentiating effects, aluminum salt (Alum) has been commonly used as an adjuvant in various nicotine vaccine formulations.
