Bacterial biofilm causes severe antibiotic resistance. An extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) is the main component in the bacterial biofilm. Alginate is a key EPS component in the biofilm of <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i> and responsible for surface adhesion and stabilization of biofilm.
