Anthrax toxin action requires triggering of natural endocytic transport mechanisms whereby the binding component of the toxin forms channels (PA<sub>63</sub>) within endosomal limiting and intraluminal vesicle membranes to deliver the toxin's enzymatic components into the cytosol.
