Mungbean [<i>Vigna radiata</i> (L.) R. Wilczek var. <i>radiata</i>] is an important food and cash legume crop in Asia. Development of short duration varieties has paved the way for the expansion of mungbean into other regions such as Sub-Saharan Africa and South America.
