DNMT3A (DNA methyltransferase 3A) is a <i>de novo</i> DNA methyltransferase responsible for establishing CpG methylation patterns within the genome. DNMT3A activity is essential for normal development, and its dysfunction has been linked to developmental disorders and cancer.
