Congenital chloride diarrhea (CCD) is an autosomal recessive hereditary disease manifested by persistent, watery, profuse diarrhea with high chloride concentration (>90 mmol/L). Postnatally, neonates suffer from hypochloremia, hyponatremia, hypokalemia, metabolic alkalosis, dehydration, developmental retardation, or even death.
