The growth kinetics play key roles in determining the chirality distribution of the grown single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). However, the lack of comprehensive understandings on the SWCNT's growth mechanism at the atomic scale greatly hinders SWCNT chirality-selective synthesis.
