Inspired by mussel adhesion chemistry and ion electronics, a novel Ca<sup>2+</sup>-tannic acid@ sulfonated lignin-polyacrylamide (TA@SL-PAM) hydrogel was prepared via Ca<sup>2+</sup>-TA@SL composites and the PAM system, where a Ca<sup>2+</sup>-TA@SL composite was fabricated via TA doping with SL and the subsequent adsorption of Ca<sup>2+</sup>.
