Chondrocyte hypertrophy-like change is an important pathological process of osteoarthritis (OA), but the mechanism remains largely unknown. Neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) is highly expressed and involved in the chondrocyte differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).
