Expanding the biological utility of bis-NHC gold(i) complexes through post synthetic carbamate conjugation.


ABSTRACT: We report the synthesis of a novel hydroxyl-functionalised heteroleptic bis-NHC gold(i) complex that permits conjugation to various amines via carbamate bond formation. The resulting derivatives were studied in vitro using cell proliferation assays and fluorescent microscopic imaging of human cancer cell lines.
