Glucose regulation is a key aspect of healthy aging and has been linked to brain functioning and cognition. Here we examined the role of glucose regulation for within-person longitudinal trajectories of well-being. We applied growth models to data from the Berlin Aging Study II (N = 955), using insulin resistance as an index of glucoregulatory capacity.
