The green synthesis of the flavor esters, <i>n</i>-propyl acetate, isobutyl acetate and isoamyl acetate had the advantages over the chemical synthesis. The esterase from <i>Candida parapsilosis</i> could transform <i>n</i>-propanol, isobutanol and isoamyl alcohol into <i>n</i>-propyl acetate, isobutyl acetate and isoamyl acetate, respectively.
