Terminating G-Protein Coupling: Structural Snapshots of GPCR-β-Arrestin Complexes.

ABSTRACT: β-arrestins (βarrs) play multifaceted roles in the signaling and regulation of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) including their desensitization and endocytosis. Recently determined cryo-EM structures of two different GPCRs in complex with βarr1 provide the first glimpse of GPCR-βarr engagement and a structural framework to understand their interaction.
