Reversible lysine acetylation plays regulatory roles in diverse biological processes, including cell metabolism, gene transcription, cell apoptosis and ageing. Here, we show that lysine acetylation is involved in the regulation of chromosome segregation, a pivotal step during cell division in Streptomyces coelicolor.
