Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO<sub>2</sub> NPs) are regularly used in sunscreens because of their photoprotective capacity. The advantage of using TiO<sub>2</sub> on the nanometer scale is due to its transparency and better UV blocking efficiency.
