<i>Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae</i> causes the disease porcine enzootic pneumonia, a highly contagious and chronic disease affecting pigs. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of its pathogenicity is critical for developing effective interventions to control this swine respiratory disease.
