The formyl peptide receptor 2 (FPR2) belongs to the family of seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) and are expressed by many different cells but mainly studied in immune cells. FPR2 is involved in host defense against bacterial infections and clearance of damaged cells through the oxidative burst and chemotaxis of neutrophils.
