Partitiviruses (dsRNA viruses, family <i>Partitiviridae</i>) are ubiquitously detected in plants and fungi. Although previous surveys suggested their omnipresence in the white root rot fungus, <i>Rosellinia necatrix</i>, only a few of them have been molecularly and biologically characterized thus far.
