Draft Whole-Genome Sequences of Ciprofloxacin-Resistant Derivatives of a Bacillus anthracis ?ANR Strain Lacking pXO1 and pXO2 Plasmids.


ABSTRACT: Mutants of an attenuated Bacillus anthracis (?ANR) strain conferring increasing levels of cipro?oxacin resistance have been described. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of the parent strain (?ANR pXO1-, pXO2-) and its derivatives conferring low (step 1; 0.5??g/ml), medium (step 2; 8 to 16??g/ml), and high (step 3; 32 to 64??g/ml) levels of ciprofloxacin resistance.
