<i>Post-mortem</i> <i>in situ</i> MRI has been used as an intermediate between brain histo(patho)logy and <i>in vivo</i> imaging. However, it is not known how comparable <i>post-mortem</i> <i>in situ</i> is to <i>ante-mortem</i> imaging.
