Household transmission of COVID-19-a systematic review and meta-analysis

ABSTRACT: Highlights • Infection risk of household contacts is 10 times higher than other contacts.• Risk of household transmission in adults is about 3-times higher than that in children.• SARS-CoV-2 is much more transmissible than SARS-CoV and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus in households, which challenges the home isolation of COVID-19 patients.
