The Kõkõi Eujã Natural Traditional Reserve was created in 2019 to protect the golden poison frog (<i>Phyllobates terribilis</i> Myers, Daly & Malkin, 1978) in the Cauca Department of Colombia. As part of the biodiversity inventory of the reserve a new species of <i>Anthurium</i> with scandent habit was discovered.
