Aflatoxins, produced mainly by filamentous fungi <i>Aspergillus flavus</i> and <i>Aspergillus parasiticus</i>, are one of the most carcinogenic compounds that have adverse health effects on both humans and animals consuming contaminated food and feed, respectively.
