<i>Hop stunt viroid</i> (HSVd) is a member of the genus <i>Hostuviroid</i> of the family Pospiviroidae and has been found in a wide range of herbaceous and woody hosts. It causes serious dapple fruit symptoms on infected sweet cherry, notably inducing cherry tree decay.
