We identified an antimicrobial peptide (AMP) from <i>Lactobacillus acidophilus</i> that was antagonistic to <i>Aeromonas hydrophila</i>. <i>In vitro</i> studies such as well-diffusion and field trials revealed that the AMP was active against <i>A. hydrophila</i>.
