Lithium garnets have been widely studied as promising electrolytes that could enable the next-generation all-solid-state lithium batteries. However, upon exposure to atmospheric moisture and carbon dioxide, insulating lithium carbonate forms on the surface and deteriorates the interfaces within electrodes.
