VANGL2 is a component of the planar cell polarity (PCP) pathway, which regulates tissue polarity and patterning. The <i>Vangl2</i> <sup><i>Lp</i></sup> mutation causes lung branching defects due to dysfunctional actomyosin-driven morphogenesis.
