In the dromedary camel, a well-adapted desert mammal, daily ambient temperature (T<sub>a</sub>)-cycles have been shown to synchronize the central circadian clock. Such entrainment has been demonstrated by examining two circadian outputs, body temperature and melatonin rhythms.
