The catalytic subunit of DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PKcs) is a pleiotropic enzyme involved in DNA repair, cell cycle control, and transcription regulation. A potential role for DNA-PKcs in the regulation of osteoblastogenesis remains to be established.
