Hemodynamic effects of fluoxetine in pulmonary arterial hypertension: an open label pilot study.

ABSTRACT: In order to evaluate the therapeutic potential of fluoxetine in pulmonary arterial hypertension, 13 patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension underwent catheterization before and after 12 (N?=?5) or 24 (N?=?8) weeks fluoxetine therapy. No change was seen in the primary endpoint of pulmonary vascular resistance, other hemodynamic values, or any secondary endpoints.
