<i>Mycobacterium uberis</i> (<i>M. uberis</i>) is a recently described non-tuberculous mycobacterium phylogenetically close to <i>Mycobacterium leprae (M. leprae)</i> and <i>Mycobacterium lepromatosis (M. lepromatosis)</i>. This pathogen classically causes nodular thelitis in cattle and goats.
