Here, we present the first near-complete mitogenome of a member of the freshwater gastropod family Paludomidae, <i>Pseudocleopatra dartevellei</i>. This Congo River species is of particular importance because the sister to the Lake Tanganyika radiation is supposed to be a paludomid riverine species.
