Plum pocket caused by the dimorphic ascomycetous fungi, <i>Taphrina</i> spp., results in unsightly malformations and crop loss. In 2016, Japanese plums (<i>Prunus salicina</i> Lindl.) with plum pocket symptoms were found in Gimcheon.
