In addition to the serotonin 5-HT<sub>2A</sub> receptor (5-HT<sub>2A</sub>R), the dopamine D<sub>2</sub> receptor (D<sub>2</sub>R) is a key therapeutic target of antipsychotics for the treatment of schizophrenia.
