The spotted-wing drosophila, <i>Drosophila suzukii</i> (Diptera: Drosophilidae) is an Asian species introduced into North America and Europe. It damages a wide variety of thin-skinned fruits. We sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) to better understand the mitogenomic characteristics of this species.
