The striped fruit fly, <i>Bactrocera (Zeugodacus) scutellata</i> occurred in East and Southeast Asia and is one of the most serious pest insects in China. Complete mitochondrial genome was sequenced and characterized for the fruit fly from Anshun, Guizhou Province in Southwest China. The pest fruit fly has a total length of 15,904 bp, consisting of 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA, 2 rRNA genes and a non-coding region (A + T-rich control region).
