DSC-TG-FTIR-MS coupling technology was used to study the mechanism of two typical binders, that is, BR and F<sub>2604</sub>, on the thermal decomposition behavior of the HMX crystal. The results show that both BR and F<sub>2604</sub> can induce premature decomposition of HMX and increase the activation energy of HMX.
