Nematodes belonging to the genus <i>Capillaria</i> infect a range of domestic and wild animals. <i>Capillaria</i> <i>aerophila</i> and <i>Capillaria</i> <i>boehmi</i> cause respiratory parasitoses in dogs and wild carnivores, e.g., foxes and mustelids, although they are often overlooked in canine clinical practice.
