As abnormal angiogenesis is associated with exacerbation of various diseases, precise control over angiogenesis is imperative. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), the most well-known angiogenic factor, binds to VEGF receptor (VEGFR), activates various signaling pathways, and mediates angiogenesis.
