Acinetobacter baumannii-induced nosocomial pneumonia has become a serious clinical problem because of high antibiotic resistance rates. Antimicrobial peptides (AMP) are an ideal alternative strategy due to their broad-spectrum of antimicrobial activity and low incidence of bacterial resistance.
