The basic/helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor (TF) plays an important role for plant growth, development, and stress responses. Previously, proteomics of NaCl treated sugar beet leaves revealed that a bHLH TF, <i>BvbHLH93</i>, was significantly increased under salt stress.
