<i>Cordyceps militaris</i> produces cordycepin, a secondary metabolite that exhibits numerous bioactive properties. However, cordycepin pharmacology in vivo is not yet understood. In this study, the roles of cordycepin in <i>C. militaris</i> during its infection were investigated.
