Hereditary Apolipoprotein A-I-Associated Cardiac Amyloidosis: Importance of Endomyocardial Biopsy When Suspicion Remains High.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Cardiac amyloidosis has recently garnered substantial attention. Although the advent of noninvasive diagnostic algorithms revolutionized diagnosis, endomyocardial biopsy may still be considered in select cases to determine the amyloidosis subtype definitively. We report a case of a patients with a known mutation causing hereditary apolipoprotein A-I-associated cardiac amyloidosis. (Level of Difficulty: Advanced.).
