The Mediastine's Cane: A Simple Radiograph Case.

ABSTRACT: Congenital anomalies of the aorta are rare disorders that result from an abnormal development of the embryonic pharyngeal arch system. Aortic arch abnormalities occur in 1% to 2% of the population, and their clinical representation, usually in the first years of life, depend on esophageal or tracheobronchial compression or abnormal blood patterns. Such abnormalities are seldom seen in adults. (Level of Difficulty: Intermediate.).
